If you select in the last option "Database" you should now be able to choose a path, for example the path where your data files are stored. In the first screen when you open Resolve, go to the Database Button.

This is actually possible! I was wondering how to do that for a long time, too, and finally figured out how to do it today.

If I archive a project, I don't want to have to remember that all files for the project are in one place EXCEPT the Resolve project file that needs to be copied from a separate directory.

And you can move and back those up manually if you desire.Īnd where do I find instructions on how to do the manual wrote:It would be really cool if Resolve let you store your project files with the data files they reference rather than in a separate database location that gets forgotten about. If you see a folder path in the Hosts column, you are using a project based DISK database, and there will be folders created for each user and project under the path you see in the Hosts column. If you desire to back it up or move it, use the database BACKUP and RESTORE menus accessed by clicking the icon in the upper right of the database manager window. If you see 127.0.0.1, you are using a PostgreSQL database, and the project info is stored inside non-accessible data folders that PostgreSQL manages. To tell which database type you are using, look in the Hosts column. You can determine this by looking in the Database Manager area, accessed from the Resolve user login page, by clicking the Disk icon in the lower right.
